Muzeul George Severeanu

The George Severeanu Museum preserves the collection gathered by Dr George Severeanu, a radiologist and passionate collector, and his wife, the sculptor Maria Severeanu, a surprisingly rich ensemble of antiquities, coins, art objects and archaeological pieces amassed with passion over a lifetime. Donated to the city in 1956, the collection became a museum and operates as a branch of the Bucharest Municipality Museum, in a house full of period atmosphere near Piața Romană.
