Bus 100 Express

Piața Unirii ↔ OTP, ~3 lei, contactless onboard. It replaced line 783 in December 2023.

CFR train

Gara de Nord ↔ Henri Coandă, ~6.50 lei, about 20–25 minutes.

Taxi / Bolt

Door to door; order via app to avoid the unlicensed-taxi trap at arrivals.

Private transfer

Fixed-price car booked in advance — easiest with luggage or late flights.

Metro M6 (future)

Gara de Nord → Otopeni is under construction, expected around 2028–2029. Not available yet.

Tips

For Schengen flights arrive ~1.5–2h early; non-Schengen ~2–3h.
Bus 100 and the CFR train are the cheapest ways into the centre.

How do I get from Otopeni (OTP) to the centre?

Bus 100 Express (Piața Unirii ↔ OTP, ~3 lei, contactless onboard) or the CFR train Gara de Nord ↔ Henri Coandă (~6.50 lei, ~20–25 min). Plus taxis/Bolt and private transfers.

Does the metro reach Otopeni airport?

Not yet. The M6 line (Gara de Nord → Otopeni) is under construction, expected to open around 2028–2029. Until then, use bus 100 or the CFR train.

How early should I arrive at the airport?
